early 20th Century, with 32in. double-edged plated steel blade with two narrow fullers on each side, etched in relief on both sides with Royal cypher to one side, ricasso with proved plug, plated cross-guard with langets and ball finials for the Argyll & Sutherland, Seaforth and Cameron Highlanders, wire-bound fish-skin grip and steel pommel, together with its field scabbard with plated steel fittings and integral frog, some spots of tarnish and a shallow dent to the chape, 40 1/2in. overall
